3 - Production & Manufaturing
While dōTERRA sources its oils from all over the world, all those oils come to one location for quality testing and processing. After harvesting and distillation, essential oils are brought to the production and manufacturing plant here on the dōTERRA campus. In a warehouse measuring over 278,000 square feet, oils are bottled in 16 bottling rooms—each capable of producing 100 bottles per minute!
With over 300 employees working in our production and warehouse facility, things are always moving 24 hours a day, five days a week. Just check out these impressive numbers:
• Over 400,000 bottles are produced every day.
• Our production record is 479,600 bottles in one day.
• From one tote of oil, we can produce:
o 73,700 15ml bottles
o 110,000 10ml bottles
o 220,000 5ml bottles
• We keep between 10 to 12 million bottles on hand—enough for roughly one month of production.
Our warehouse facility is also pretty impressive.
• On average, we receive 4,317 kg of oil every business day.
• We ship out an average of 341,867 bottles of oil every business day.
• Between the two buildings, we have nearly 6,000 pallet locations.
• Every week we receive around 2,000,000 15ml bottles.
• An average of 10,000kg of oil are moved into the filling rooms daily—that's over 300 moves a day!
• On any given day, there is approximately 1,275,000kg of oil stored in the warehouse.
